Wil Bangerter

Of Counsel

Wil Bangerter served as an associate attorney for Bangerter Frazier Group from 2019 until 2023. In December 2023, Wil changed his role to "Of Counsel" to focus his efforts on his role as CEO of Back Nine Golf, but still associates closely with BFG.

Wil’s areas of expertise involve corporate formation, drafting and reviewing business-related contracts, and the creation of wills and trusts.  Wil also handles legal matters involving all types of general civil litigation, including business disputes, insurance defense cases, matters involving real estate, will/trust administration, and employment conflicts. Wil has represented Plaintiffs and Defendants in a wide array of legal matters in both State and Federal Court.

At a very young age, Wil aspired to be an attorney. Having been exposed to the legal industry for most of his life, Wil has learned that good attorneys can and should be a positive influence on others. Wil is also passionate about small business and entrepreneurship. Wil has helped hundreds of new business owners and existing owners navigate the unknown risks and unique surprises that come with owning and operating a business. Wil has faced the same challenges personally as an owner of various startup companies. During law school, Wil was a founding member of “School Pulse”, an SMS-based mental health platform for teens offered nationwide, which now offers the same services to veteran military personnel via its “Co-Pilot” program. Wil also helped start “The Back Nine Golf”, a 24-hour indoor golf simulator business. Wil enjoys advocating for others, working with teams that share common goals, and creating solutions and experiences that bring joy to others.

Wil has been involved with Bangerter Frazier Group since its inception, when his father, Steven R. Bangerter, founded the firm nearly twenty years ago. Wil obtained a Bachelor Degree in Accounting, magna cum laude, from Dixie State University then attended law school at Brigham Young University, where he obtained a J.D. While in law school, Wil enjoyed working as a Law Clerk for the law firms “Durham Jones & Pinegar” and “Bangerter Frazier Group”, before finally joining BFG full-time as an attorney upon graduation. Wil is licensed to practice law in the State of Utah.

Wil loves to spend time with his family, enjoys golfing, playing basketball, and riding motorcycles. Wil speaks fluent (Brazilian) Portuguese, plays the piano, and enjoys making custom pens.
